3/09 - Bring one set each of road wheels and CX wheels, spare wheeset with file treads pls.

What to bring:

Clothes:  The temperature is expected to be 70s-90ish with cool mornings, and clear, sunny days. Just

              in case it rains bring a rain cape, booties and weatherproof riding gloves in addition to

              your regular riding gear.  A second pair of riding shoes and hiking boots is a good idea.

Tools:    Bring the basics. I will supply a pro-work stand.

Bicycle:  Bring two spare tyres and 4 tubes or spare tubulars and glue.  We are about

              30 miles from the nearest bike shop.  Roads are nice and mostly glass

               free. If you ride tubulars pls. know what you are doing.

Food:      Bring your favorite on the bike energy food.  The country side is scenic, hilly and

               beautiful, however it is also rural.  Country stores are few and far between.  Two

               large water bottles or a Camelback and energy bars are recommended for every

               ride. We will have two planned gourmet dinners, all breakfast and lunches provided.

Other:   Favorite snacks, big pillow for lounging, soda, board games, frisbee

GREAT FOOD! Breakfast 7:30 am - Light breakfast. Muffins, cereal, homemade jams, coffee, bannana bread.*There is a large refrigerator to store perishables. Lunch - Sumptuous cuban beans and rice and light lunch is provided. We like a casual approach. Lots of great snacks, organic nibbles and more avail. all day.

Saturday, September 5
Noon - Arrive late morning, check in with the owners and get a room key. Get settled, find a friend and go for a short easy ride. Queue sheets will be available.

8:00pm Group Dinner: Grilled Salmon, Salad, and Bread
9:00pm  Plan rides for tomorrow.

Sunday, September 6
7:00 - 7:30am  Group stretch in the common area 
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast 
9:00 - Riders leave together.  Today we roll out for a good leg opener.  We begin on the road than cross the mtn.s on dirt returning on road to camp.  Grab a bite to eat and a nap than we have skills clinics.

1:00 - 3:00 Skill Clinic: mount / dismount, talk about tyres.

8:00pm Regroup for dinner in town.
9:00pm  Plan rides for tomorrow.

Monday, September 7
7:00 - 7:30 Group stretch in the common area 
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast
8:30 - 9:00 Riders leave in together. Today we test your fitness and accomplish some GREAT training.  Put your file treads on we are climbing today on the parkway :)  We will get in at least 3 hrs. After the ride, group lunch, fittings, performance analysis, naps and skills clinic.

1:00 - 3:00  Skills clinic:  Barrier approach (pre position hands), runups, practice over barriers and talks about you guessed it tyres and equipment.

7:00 PM Regroup for dinner in town. 

Tuesday,  September 8 
7:00 - 7:30 Group stretch in the common area
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast
8:30 - 9:00 Riders leave in groups. Surprise!!!  Today is an adventure.  We ride as a group on dirt roads over the mtns  This is a perfect day to build strength and endurance.  After the ride lunch, naps than clinic.

1:00 - 3:00  Skills clinic: Barrier practice, 6 laps around the race course with coach comments and you guessed it!!!!  Talk about equipment and tactics.

7:00 PM Regroup for dinner in town. 

Wednesday, September 9 
7:00 - 7:30 Group stretch in the common area
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast
8:30 - 9:00 Riders leave in together.  Easy road day, short ride.  After the ride we have a "non-race!!!" 

1:00 - 3:00  Skills clinic:  Group will line up and leave in a staggered style similar to a "wheel race" in track racing where riders with the biggest handicap leave first and faster riders attempt to catch them before crossing the line.  After the "non-race" talk about strengths and weaknesses.  You have the remainder of the day to sleep and read.

7:00 PM Regroup for dinner in town  

Thursday, September 10
7:00 - 7:30 Group Stretch in the common area
7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast
8:30 - 9:00 Riders leave in groups. Today is a fairly flat fast road ride, use your file treads or leave your cross knobs on for a HARD workout.  After the ride lunch and naps than skills clinic.

1:00 - 3:00  Skills clinic:  Race Start practice, over barriers and "one hot lap" for all the marbles!!!  Today we determine your fastest time around the race course with a photo finish.  Put on your game face.

8:00 PM BBQ Dinner (Coach BBQ Showdown tonight!!!

Friday, September 11

7:00 - Early Roll out. Coffee and quick stretch.
7:30 - Grab a quick bite we roll out for recovery ride. Depart camp by 12 noon today.
11:30pm -  All campers must be cleared out.
