Spring Training 2012 with Coach Josh Simonds and Master Framebuilder and Raconteur Tom Kellogg in Southern France PLUS suprise guests.
The venue is a VERY quiet town in Southern France built in typical fashion with walls guarding the town, fountains, a well loved church and SURROUNDED by rolling hills and farms.
The location sports endless canyons, lakes and rural roads where we will explore a region of France that has been nearly overlooked for it's spectacular cycling and supremely quiet roads.
We will spend most days riding, with at least one market day and one day of hiking, both with riding options for those who CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!!!
Distances will be published in detail very soon and you can expect we will ride between 4 and 6 hrs. each day with leisurely breaks for mid-day coffee and local fare.
Families are welcome. There are very good sights, hiking and markets nearby.
Fly-in airport is Marsilles and camp is an approximate 1 hr. drive. I will coordinate arrivals so that folks can option to split rental cars.
Accomodations are a treat!!! We will stay in a beautiful hotel owned and operated by a friend of our family. The owner and chef supreme is a former Michelin star recipient and he LOVES cyclists. Breakfast will be provided and we will sign up each day for a fixed price dinner which I encourage all to attend. Before dinner Tom and I will supply some local wines.
